WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO

wE BELIEVE:

In one God, who exists in three Persons — Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

The Bible is God’s Word. It is inspired by God and accurate. It is our perfect guide in all matters of life.

Sin and rebellion has separated humanity from God, resulting in spiritual death that ultimately leads to eternal death in hell. Only through Jesus Christ can we be fully reconciled to God and saved.

Jesus Christ is both God and Man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He led a sinless life, took all our sins upon Himself on the cross, died and rose again. Today, He is seated at the right hand of the Father as our High Priest and Mediator.

That salvation is the gift of God to man. This gift is effected by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, as individual people repent, forsake self righteousness and sin, and believe the gospel.

That God's grace permanently justifies believers in the sight of God.

In God's grace, that it gives believers right standing with God and that it also teaches believers to say no to ungodliness, to live sober, righteous and godly in this present age.

That God works in believers and believers are to co-operate with God to will and act according to God's good pleasure.

We have been sanctified, and that we walk out sanctification in obedience to God and that we will in the future receive full sanctification.

That water baptism by full immersion is an outward act that demonstrates a believer's identification with the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus.

The Holy Spirit is our Comforter. He guides us in all areas of our lives. He also blesses us with spiritual gifts and empowers us to yield the fruit of the Spirit and holiness. He also empowers us for ministry.

The Holy Communion is a celebration of Jesus’ death and our remembrance of Him.

Godly marriage between a man and a woman is intended to be a sacramental reflection of the oneness between Christ and his church and such a lifelong covenant union between a man and a woman is the only context for sexual intimacy.

God wants to transform, heal and make our lives wholesome, so that we can live blessed and victorious lives that will impact and help others.

We are called to preach the gospel to all nations.

In the universal Body of Christ, made up of believers that look exclusively to Jesus Christ as Lord, Saviour and Son of God, risen from the dead.

In the local Church, believers coming together in living communities with biblical Christ-centred leadership.

That though there may be differences, we believe in unity with believing Churches that hold to core essential truths: especially concerning the Trinity, the deity and humanity of Jesus Christ, salvation by grace through faith in Christ alone, the authority of God's word the bible, and upholding godly biblical lifestyle in the face of a culture increasingly adrift.

Our Lord Jesus Christ is coming back again just as He promised.
