"It’s Just Over the Horizon"

‘It’s just over the horizon!’ If something is on the horizon, it means it is almost certainly going to happen or be done quite soon. So then if something is just over the horizon - it means that it is coming, although we can’t see it yet, it is about to emerge into view.

You just can’t imagine the glory that is coming!’ There’s a glory coming that is inconceivable to the current limitations of our minds; it’s like nothing we’ve ever seen - a glory that we haven’t yet ever imagined possible, the extent of which we haven’t dared conceive. We haven’t been there even in our imagination because it’s so immense, it’s something we just can’t get our heads around.

A Far Greater Weight of Glory!

‘For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory’ (2 Corinthians 4:17)

I saw a pair of well weathered tough leather walking boots. The leather had got tougher with the use and the exposure to the elements. You might say they were made of ‘distressed leather’. Usually the term ‘distressed’ has connotations of harm and damage to be avoided and a soul in distress is a pitiful thing. However considered in another light, ‘distressing’ brings a toughening and an adaptability. Adapting to adversity is not pleasant but it builds character! It separates the men from the boys, the women from the girls. Come on! It’s time to grow up and to toughen up! It’s not time to curl up by the cosy fire with our comfy slippers on! The Bride has got her combat boots on! She’s dressed in army gear and she’s marching towards that horizon where a glorious new day is about to break!

We are crossing rocky, difficult (not smooth) terrain. This is not plain sailing and many are struggling, stumbling and getting injured. And yet we need to work out what it means to carry one another’s burdens while still bearing our own load. What you go through and overcome, what you trample on, the new ground taken that wasn’t easy is working for you a weight of glory that you need for the future!

Champions are in training!’ We are going to carry a far greater weightiness of God’s glory! We are going to another level - what before was ‘punching above our weight’. Champions are being trained. Kingdom heavy weights! What does it take to train a champion? Adversity!  Not ease!

Now we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this surpassingly great power is from God and not from us. 8We are pressed on all sides, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; 9persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed.…’(2 Cor 4:7-9)

‘Exercise yourself unto godliness’ (2Tim 4:7)

It’s time to get in the gym and build that resistance! Build that stamina, build that endurance! Get some spiritual muscle! Get ‘fit’!…’for the master’s use’! The gym equipment is set up and God’s putting everything up a notch to push you further! Take advantage of this intensive training! Don’t be lazy and find excuses to slack off. Self-pity renders you pretty useless to the cause! And it can become addictive, attention-seeking, parasitic behaviour that saps the life out of the Body! Stop draining and get in training! You’ve got to get trained, get equipped, then get out there!

‘He who gathers in summer is a wise son; He who sleeps in harvest is a son who causes shame.’ (Proverbs 10:5)

A great harvest of souls is coming, and we will be needed to go out to the fields and help reap them; but the one who ‘sleeps’ during harvest brings shame to God his Father! If you’re in sleep mode now, you’ll sleep in when it’s harvest-time and if you stay in sleep mode you’re gonna miss the main event: the coming of Jesus!

Great Things! The Mega of God!

“Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the LORD will do great things among you.” (Joshua 3:5)

We are in a time of preparation. We are preparing to advance and take the land! ‘Greater things are yet to come, greater things are still to be done!’ Hallelujah! Are you ready for the mega that is coming?!

'And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.’ (Acts 4:33)

'With great power’ - the word ‘great’ here means ‘mega’! Get ready to carry and walk in the mega! Mega miracles! Mega faith! Mega wealth-transfer and the greatest mega-harvest are all just over the horizon!

Get ready to be used. Be moulded, be sharpened, be shaped and be toughed up. Like a clay pot is fired in a kiln. I recently purchased a pizza stone (having taken up bread-making during Lockdown!) and it had to be ‘fired’ in a really hot oven before it’s first use, to harden it so it didn’t crack. Every time a pizza stone goes into the fire it gets harder!

‘Toughen Up!’ What’s just ahead is not for the faint-hearted! It’s a new, glorious day for the Champions of God!  The Church has got to step up a gear. We must rise out of the natural and the limited and believe in the God of the impossible, the God who wants to do the impossible through you!

‘YOU will move mountains and nothing will be impossible for YOU’ (Matthew 17:20)

Jesus is calling you out to walk upon the water! To do what you’ve never done and go where you’ve never dared go before! It’s time to walk on water! It’s time to walk by faith and not by sight! It’s time to walk the walk not just talk the talk! It’s time to be the Church we’re meant to be! It’s time for the Supernatural Church to arise for His glory is risen upon us!
